Summary: This is the second time we’ve started here and it was perfect just like the first time. The location is so quiet and peaceful. I love the seclusion, but it’s also not too from the necessities. The cabin is equipped with everything you could need and feels so cozy and inviting. All the stars for this property ❤️

Summary: We’ve stayed at several camps around Maine and the Milam camp is one of the best. One of our favorite aspects of the camp is the feeling of seclusion you get. There are nearby camps, but they are spaced in a way that provides privacy and peace. The location is excellent if you plan to visit Acadia or Bar Harbor. You can reach Hulls Cove Visitor Center in 45 minutes and take the Island Explorer wherever you please on Mount Desert Island. The camp is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Cell service was poor with AT&T, but the camp has smoking fast internet. Much faster than what we have at home. Abrams Pond is beautiful, and our dogs loved the easy access to the water. We even took a swim after a long day of hiking in Acadia. A bit chilly, but not bad for late September in Maine. The last thing I will mention, is something I did not expect. The Milam camp has two skylights that open in the bedrooms. Laying in bed listening to the Loons and seeing more stars than you can just about anywhere else was heavenly. If the Milam camp pops up in your search for a Maine vacation, don’t hesitate to reserve it. Your decision will be a great one!

Summary: We’ve been looking, for years, for a place like Camp Milam. Great location, authentic cabin, waterfront on a beautiful pond, tall pines providing a blanket of aromatic pine needles, and the sounds of Loons. Greg, our host, was very responsive and friendly. The cabin well appointed, clean & welcoming. Everything had small cards of instructions for ease of operation- nice touch! Highly recommend

Summary: Paradise to me is a beautiful water view from a shady forest, and when combined with comfortable clean lodgings and plenty of room for the pup to run around, Milam Camp was better than I could have hoped for. Greg’s hospitality was great, and the camp was very well stocked with dishes, pots, and pans for an easy stay. We tried the row boat and kayak, swam in the pond, and took little day trips around to the sights. A wonderful stay!

Summary: Peaceful and beautiful setting— loons, eagles, ducks- oh my! Cabin is excellent — clean, well-equipped kitchen, grill, fire pit, kayak, life vests, plenty of Adirondack chairs, even WiFi. The view is incredible- bring binoculars! We loved our stay and would definitely rent here again.
